A. Order & Acceptance
- 1.The customer must state the quantity of each article submitted for cleaning, repair, or alteration. If quantity is not provided or confirmed by the customer, our count as recorded at the point of intake shall be final and binding.
- 2.These Terms & Conditions apply to every order placed with us, whether by drop-off, pickup, or online booking, and supersede any prior verbal agreement, quotation, or representation. By leaving an article with us, or by confirming a pickup, the customer accepts these Terms & Conditions in full.
- 3.A non-refundable deposit may be required to confirm certain orders (e.g. curtain removal/re-hanging, bulk orders, repairs). The balance is due upon collection or delivery. We reserve the right to withhold articles until full payment is received. Late payment beyond 14 days from invoice date may incur a 2% per month administrative charge.
B. Liability & Limitation
- 4.No liability can be accepted for defects or damage arising during treatment which are due to methods of manufacture, latent defects, or deterioration by wear and tear, age, moths, or exposure to natural elements (including sunlight, humidity, and heat).
- 5.All stain removal services, and any request for stain removal, are undertaken entirely at the customer's own risk. We will advise where a stain is unlikely to be fully removable, but proceeding with treatment is at the customer's discretion and liability.
- 6.Our liability for loss or damage, if any, will not exceed 5 times the dry cleaning / washing / pressing charge for the affected item(s), and in any event is capped at $100 (one hundred dollars) per item, unless a higher value has been declared and accepted in writing under Clause 7.
- 7.Unless, at the time of depositing the article with us, its value is declared in writing and accepted by us, our liability for any loss or damage — whether occurring during cleaning, transport, or on-site works (including curtain removal, re-hanging, or on-site pressing) — is limited to $150 per claim.
- 7a.All claims must be made in writing within 24 hours of receipt of the article(s), and must be accompanied by the original signed intake list. Claims made outside this window, or without the signed list, will not be entertained.
- 7b.Loss or damage to any article while in our custody for pickup or delivery (in transit to or from the customer's premises) is subject to the same limits set out in Clauses 6 and 7, unless a courier or third-party logistics provider's own terms apply, in which case those terms shall govern.
- 8.Items left with us and not claimed within one (1) month from the date of order may be sold or disposed of to defray processing and storage charges. Any sale proceeds will first be applied against outstanding charges owed by the customer; we are not liable to account for any surplus or shortfall beyond what is legally required.
C. Exclusions
- 9.No liability can be accepted for shrinkage, discolouration, distortion, or other damage arising as a result of dry cleaning, washing, or pressing, where such treatment is carried out using industry-standard methods and care instructions (where provided or where care labels are legible). This includes:
- 9a.Curtains with blackout lining, additional attachments, or plastic/rubber/silicone coatings of any sort.
- 9b.Curtains with internal lining, weighted strings/chains, or organza and similarly delicate fabrics.
- 9c.Damage occurring during cleaning or pressing as a result of pre-existing wear and tear, fabric fatigue, or fabric weakness not reasonably apparent at intake.
- 9d.Fading, colour variation, or shade mismatch between curtain panels or sets cleaned together, where such variation results from differing wear, sun exposure, or fabric ageing prior to cleaning.
- 9e.Buttons, beads, sequins, trims, linings, hooks, weights, or other embellishments and hardware that are damaged, dislodged, or lost during cleaning.
- 9f.Damage to curtain tracks, rails, motorised or remote-control curtain systems, brackets, or fittings arising from removal or re-installation of curtains, save where caused by our negligence.
- 10.We do not undertake re-hemming, length adjustment, or re-fitting of curtains following cleaning. Any change in fabric dimension (shrinkage or relaxation) that affects fit against existing tracks or rails is excluded from liability under Clause 9.
- 11.Items returned folded may show creases or fold lines as a result of folding and uneven stacking during packing; this is not a defect and no claim will be entertained on this basis alone.
D. Repairs, Records & Force Majeure
- 12.Repairs are warrantied for 15 days from the date of invoice. This warranty covers only the specific repair carried out and does not extend to unrelated wear, damage, or defects.
- 13.Prior to cleaning, articles are inspected and their condition noted at our discretion (including by photograph where practical). This record shall be treated as the agreed condition of the article at intake for the purposes of any claim, absent written objection raised by the customer at the time of drop-off.
- 14.We shall not be liable for any delay, loss, or damage caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including fire, flood, power outage, equipment breakdown, strikes, or other events of force majeure.
- 15.Scheduled pickups or deliveries not attended by the customer without at least 2 hours' prior notice may be subject to a re-scheduling / trip charge.
E. General
- 16.Personal data collected (including contact details for order updates, delivery coordination, or marketing) is handled in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) of Singapore. Customers may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- 17.These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore, and both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
- 18.We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in force at the time an order is placed shall apply to that order.
Certain clauses in this document are new additions proposed to close gaps in the original wording — we recommend review by a lawyer qualified in Singapore law before publishing, as this is not legal advice.
